Penn Cove Gallery's Mary Ellen O'Connor will be showing and selling her work at part of the 28th Annual Best of the Northwest Art and Fine Craft Show this weekend, sponsored by the Northwest Art Alliance.  The show will be held in Hangar 30 at Magnuson Park in Seattle (get directions)
November 11 through 13; Friday: 12PM - 7PM (FREE Entry Starting at 4pm FRIDAY ONLY); Saturday: 10AM - 6PM; Sunday: 10AM - 5PM.
Mary Ellen has two major techniques in her work. One uses hand piercing the design into metal, soldering on a back and inlaying hand mixed colored resins. The other is anticlastic raising, where she hand hammers sterling silver or copper, applies 23K gold leaf in various designs and then patina to add color (as shown in her boxes below).

Of course if you aren't in the Seattle are this weekend, Mary Ellen's work is available daily in Penn Cove Gallery.
