Penn Cove Gallery's Mary Ellen O'Connor will be showing her beautiful jewelry at 28th annual Best of the Northwest art show in Seattle on April 9th and 10th.
Mary Ellen uses two major techniques in her jewelry. One uses hand piercing the design into metal, soldering on a back and inlaying hand mixed colored resins (as shown below). The other is anticlastic raising, where she hand hammers sterling silver or copper, applies 23K gold leaf in various designs, and then adds patina to add color.
