Penn Cove Gallery's Janis Collins Now Featured at Knead & Feed

Colored pencil artist Janis Collins' work is featured in Knead & Feed during September and October.  Knead & Feed is one of four off-site exhibit locations showing the work exclusively of Penn Cove Gallery artists.

For Janis, Whidbey Island is the perfect place for inspiring her work thanks to water views, beaches, forests, birds, shells, plants and wildlife all around us.  It is the drawing process that Janis says she really enjoys.  "Colored pencil is my current medium of choice.  My process is to sketch a preliminary drawing deciding on lighting, form, color, and composition.  Sometimes it takes four or five drawings to get the results I like, but the process is worth it."

We hope you enjoy Janis' work at Knead & Feed for the next couple of months, and of course at Penn Cove Gallery year round.
