Penn Cove Gallery Welcomes New Member, Francy Blumhagen

8/1/2017

We are excited to add the printmaking and collage art of Francy Blumhagen  to our collection of local talent. Francy was chosen as Coupeville Arts Festival poster artist for 2017. A long time resident of Whidbey Island, Francy has made a career of being an artist. Whidbey Island has provided her with the inspiration for her imagery of plants, birds and animals, the land, sea and sky. Her work employs a variety of printmaking methods and mixed media/collage. She uses linoleum, wood or cardboard as a plate in which she cuts her image. After printing the image on natural, textured paper, Francy may further embellish the piece with additional painting and collage.
