As our Featured Artist for October sculptor Pat Collins will be at Penn Cove Gallery on Saturday, October 28th, and will discuss the inspiration and methods behind his “stylized” work in wood. He strives to showcase the beauty and natural figure of fine hardwoods without being tied to the restrictions of realism. In the words of Vincent Van Gogh, “Leave the obvious vague and exaggerate the essential”, which for Pat, “the essential” is the wood itself.
