Mary Ellen has always had a passion for animals and nature, and on Whidbey Island she finds endless inspiration. Since earning her BFA in Metalsmithing, Mary Ellen has combined her knowledge of silversmithing with her love of art and wildlife. Using resin inlays, which are both tough and beautiful, she creates her colorful wildlife designs on jewelry, belt buckles, bracelets and boxes. Mary Ellen also creates earrings, cuffs and boxes by combining hammered copper, 23K gold leaf and colorful heat patinas.
