Colored Pencil artist, Janis Collins, is our Featured Artist for the month of July. Janis loves the detail and precision of pencil drawings. Her inspiration comes from every form of animal life as well as shells, water, plants and trees found on Whidbey Island.

Janis begins her work with a sketch, deciding lighting, form, color and composition, and then gradually shapes it into its final form. She will be at Penn Cove Gallery July 17th, from 10:00 am to 5:30 pm and will demonstrate her colored pencil techniques.
