Her inspiration comes from every form of animal life as well as shells, water, plants and trees found on Whidbey Island.
Janis begins her work with a sketch, deciding lighting, form, color and composition, and then gradually shapes it into its final form. She will be at Penn Cove Gallery July 17th, from 10:00 am to 5:30 pm and will demonstrate her colored pencil techniques.
