Picture
Janis, will be at Penn Cove Gallery on Friday, February 22nd, from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm with her colored pencils and will answer questions about their use. Janis loves the detail and precision of pencil drawings. She chooses her subjects from the natural world on Whidbey Island, where she finds water views, beaches, forests, birds, shells, plants and wildlife. She begins her work with a sketch, deciding lighting, form, color and composition, and then gradually shapes it into its final form.
