Randy Emmons - Oak Harbor, Washington
Raised in Monterey, CA, he was always headed for an art career. Instead, the Viet Nam War, a career as a Navy Photographer and a family came along. In 2006, forty years later, he is trying to figure out how to make paper, water and paint come together in a manner that is esthetically appealing. As a watercolorist I feel the same need to take local images and use them to design a pleasing image that may also be something familiar to the viewer. Working at the kitchen counter (my studio), I see if I can balance design, color, and style into an appealing representation of a local scene.
